ORANGEVILLE, Ont. - Police have marked the one-year anniversary of the Sonia Varaschin investigation by appealing for information in the Orangeville woman's slaying.

Varaschin was reported missing Aug. 30, 2010, after she failed to show up at work and her blood-stained Toyota Corolla was found in an alley.

Police also found blood inside and outside her home.

Her remains were discovered Sept. 5 in a wooded area in Caledon, about 12 kilometres from Orangeville.

The investigation has included asking certain men to take voluntary DNA tests, and police say that process is continuing.

A statement issued Tuesday asks anyone with information to contact Orangeville police or Crime Stoppers.
