Hikers and cyclists in the Puslinch are being warned to be cautious after several reports of a man making inappropriate comments to strangers.

Wellington County OPP say the man has been spotted three times since May 28 on the Puslinch Tract trail.

While riding a blue bicycle, the man has allegedly made inappropriate sexual comments directed toward women walking along the trail.

“The comments have created some concern and the OPP would like to locate this male,” says Const. Bob Bortolato.

The Puslinch Tract area east of Cambridge is a popular site for hiking, biking and fishing.

Those on the trails Friday said they hadn’t heard about the incidents, but learning of them gave them second thoughts about the area.

“It scares me,” says Janice Wingrove.

“I don’t think I’d come in here all alone.”

Police describe the man as 5’8” and 160 to 170 pounds, with a long face, prominent nose and noticeable accent.

He is said to be in his mid-40s with brown-coloured skin.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
