Waterloo Regional Police are investing an armed robbery in Kitchener’s southwest.

Around 8 p.m. Wednesday, police say, a 16-year-old was walking along a path connecting Westmount Road to Chandler Drive, when he was approached by multiple people.

One member of the group allegedly pulled out a handgun, but nothing was taken from the yeen.

Police want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident.

They describe the male with the gun as black and approximately 17 years old, 5’6” tall with a thin or average build.

He was said to be wearing blue shoes, black shorts, a red shirt and a red winter hat, with brown or blonde hair.
