One of two people responsible for stealing charity donation boxes from an LCBO and a Beer Store has been arrested, Brantford Police say.
The thefts occurred in late January, six days apart.
Brantford Police say tips from the public helped them identify the suspects – one of whom crossed paths with a plainclothes officer Thursday, on Stanley Street.
The 27-year-old woman allegedly then hid behind a building in an attempt to avoid police.
Danielle Linton faces charges including four counts of theft under $5,000 and four counts of possession of stolen property.
Police say they have also identified the second suspect, but have yet to find him.
