As they continue to investigate the case of a man found dead on the Lake Huron shoreline north of Goderich, police are asking for help from the public.
Specifically, Huron County OPP want to hear from anyone who has found an abandoned watercraft in the area over the past month – anything from a canoe or kayak to an inflatable raft.
Police have so far been unable to identify the man, whose body was discovered Saturday morning on a beach near Port Albert.
What is known is that he was wearing a lifejacket over a black fleece jacket, as well as Nike running shoes and black pants with a “Performance Edge Pro” logo commonly used in the hockey world.
The man is also described as balding and 5’8” to 5’10” tall, with a medium build and a thin moustache.
Police have said that foul play is not suspected in the man's death.
