One person was hurt following an assault in Brant County.

The Brant County Ontario Provincial Police responded to a reported assault on Scott Avenue in Paris just before 10 p.m. on Dec. 9.

“At approximately 9:30 p.m., an individual stopped their vehicle on Scott Avenue to assist what appeared to be a stranded motorist in the area of Oak and Lee Avenue in Paris,” the OPP said in a media release. “Upon interacting with the suspect, the victim was assaulted. The suspect fled the area in a black passenger vehicle, travelling eastbound on Scott Avenue. Minor injuries were reported.”

The suspect is described as a while male, approximately six feet tall, has a slim build, brown hair and was wearing blue jeans and a black Nike hooded sweater.

The investigation is ongoing and if anyone has any information regarding the incident or was in the area at the time and has dash camera footage, they are being asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
