Two men are facing charges after Waterloo Regional Police seized marijuana, cocaine, cash and a money counter from homes in Kitchener and Cambridge.

The homes are located on Robert Ferrie Drive in Kitchener’s south end and McMeeken Drive in northeast Cambridge.

Police say search warrants were executed at the homes last week in connection with an ongoing drug investigation.

In total, police say they seized 23 kilograms of marijuana, 78 grams of cocaine and $900 in cash.

“This is a significant dent in our local drug subculture,” says Staff Sgt. Shaena Morris.

“The street value of the marijuana is approximately $127,000, and the value of the cocaine is $8,000.”

Charged are two Kitchener men, aged 30 and 21.

Both are facing three charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

No further arrests are anticipated.
