A 69-year-old man who had barricaded himself inside a house south of Owen Sound surrendered peacefully, Grey County OPP say.
Police were first called to a home on Gore Crescent in Chatsworth Township, north of Holland Centre, around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
It took them several hours to make contact with the man inside, during which time they set up a containment zone around the residence.
A little before 8 p.m., police say, the man surrendered to police.
He was taken into custody under the Mental Health Act and transported to hospital for assessment.
No injuries were reported, police said.
