Police descended on southeast Cambridge over the lunch hour Tuesday to search for a man believed to have robbed a bank.

According to Waterloo Regional Police, the Bank of Montreal branch on Dundas Street near Elgin Street was robbed at 12:28 p.m.

One man entered the bank, police say, and demanded cash.

It was not immediately clear if any money was turned over, but the man was allegedly seen leaving the area in a vehicle.

No weapon was seen during the robbery, police say.
