The Tuesday arrest of a Guelph man on drug charges led to three arrests Wednesday in Cambridge.

Philip Stack, a 30-year-old Guelph man, was arrested Tuesday charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking Tuesday following an investigation that began in February.

At the time of his arrest, police say Stack was in possession of 15 pounds of marijuana and more than $24,000 in Canadian money.

Wednesday, Waterloo Regional Police executed a search warrant at a Blair Road residence in a related investigation.

Police say they found 3.5 kilograms of marijuana in the residence, as well as psilocybin (magic mushrooms), 23 marijuana plants, marijuana production equipment and approximately $1,500 in Canadian money.

Those items were seized, and three Cambridge residents were taken into custody.

Cody Thompson, 28, Gregory Molson, 30, and Sarah McEwin, 28, are all charged with production of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

All three will appear in court April 26.
