Talks have resumed between representatives of Wilfrid Laurier University and the Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 926.

The union, which represents a little more than 100 custodial, groundskeeping and trades workers at the school, has been on strike since Sunday morning.

Union leaders have said they are upset with the school’s desire to start contracting out work when unionized employees are not available.

University officials said Friday that talks were to resume that afternoon with a provincially appointed mediator.
