Ontario Provincial Police have arrested two men and are searching for a third after an armed robbery in Kitchener.

Police say the incident occurred just after 12:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning at a home on Westwood Drive.

“It was reported that three men entered the residence armed and stole electronics,” says Alana Russell with the Waterloo Regional Police.

Police tracked the suspects near Flamborough where they set up a roadblock that stopped the vehicle – however the suspects fled to a nearby cornfield.

Hamilton and Guelph police canine units helped track down two of the suspects.

Local schools were placed in a hold and a secure Tuesday morning while police searched the area.

No one was injured in the robbery.
