Police are trying to figure out who was behind the wheel of a farm tractor that pulled down hydro lines southwest of Listowel.

Several homes in Cranbrook, a small village in Huron East, lost power Wednesday morning when the lines were taken down.

Some of the affected lines were in Cranbrook itself, while others were outside the village on McNabb Line.

Huron County OPP think it happened sometime between 12:15 a.m. and 2 a.m., and believe the culprit was a farm tractor that was pulling a cultivator or other piece of equipment.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
