Another street in downtown Guelph is about to be closed off to traffic.

Next week, Wyndham Street will close between Carden and Farquhar streets.

Farquhar has already been shuttered between Freshfield Street and Wyndham.

That closure will partially be extended eastward next week, with a flagperson on-site to direct traffic as the road narrows to one lane.

Later in July, the closure of Wyndham will be expanded to include the section between Farquhar and Fountain Street.

The Wyndham closure is being done to facilitate hydro work in advance of a renovation at the Guelph Police Service headquarters.

Information on bus detours due to the closures is available on the Guelph Transit website.
