One week after police started searching for a wanted man in midwestern Ontario, they say the man in question has been taken into custody.

OPP had been looking for Glenn O’Neill for various offences, including possession of a firearm while prohibited. He had also been accused of making threatening comments to police officers.

Last week, farm properties near Kintail and Ripley were blocked off by police officers acting on information that he might be on one of the farms.

Wednesday, South Bruce OPP said that the 29-year-old O’Neill had been found and placed under arrest without incident.

Earlier in the day, an OPP team including a tactical unit and police dogs had been at two other farm properties in the area – one on Concession 4 south of Teeswater, and one on Bruce County Road 7 northwest of Lucknow.
