Friday afternoon marked 48 hours since police had started looking for a 29-year-old man – and the first time they publicly identified the man in question.

South Bruce OPP describe Glenn O’Neill as white, six feet tall and 200 pounds, with short brown hair and blue eyes.

They say he is wanted for four counts of possessing a firearm while prohibited from doing so, among other offences.

Police have also said that O’Neill is on probation and has made threatening comments toward police officers.

The search for O’Neill prompted police to cordon off areas around two farm properties – one on Kintail Road south of Kincardine, and one just south of Ripley, in Bruce County.

As of Friday afternoon, O’Neill had not been found.

OPP say anyone who knows where he is should dial 911 and should not approach him.
