A 54-year-old man was killed in a crash on Highway 401 near Dorchester Thursday morning.
Police say a car slammed into the back of a transport truck that was parked on the eastbound shoulder, just east of Elgin Road, around 12:30 a.m.
The driver of the car, Adel Zecharia of London, was declared dead at the scene.
The driver of the transport truck was not hurt.
Police closed the eastbound lanes at Elgin Road while emergency responders worked at the scene.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
