A 14-year-old boy has been airlifted to McMaster Children’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries following a crash on Saturday afternoon.

Police say a 1979 GMC pick-up truck was towing a homemade utility trailer when it detached and hit the teen who was riding his bike along County Road 109 approximately 2 kilometres east of Arthur.

The boy from Conn was transported by Ornge Air Ambulance.  None of the occupants of the pick-up truck were injured.

County Road 109 was closed for most of Saturday from First Line and Second Line of West Garafraxa as police investigated the collision.
