A 22-year-old Bruce County man is dead following a crash between his horse-drawn wagon and a Ford Taurus.
South Bruce OPP say they were called to a collision on Bruce Road 7 between Concession 2 and Concession 4, south of Ripley, around 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Investigation concluded that a Ford Taurus travelling northbound on Bruce Road 7 collided with a horse-drawn wagon travelling in the same direction and carrying a load of lumber.
The force of the crash was enough to throw the driver of the wagon, Leroy Brubacher, from the wagon.
Brubacher, a Huron-Kinloss resident, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 35-year-old Ripley man driving the Ford was taken to hospital with minor injuries and later released.
Bruce Road 7 remained closed until 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Police continue their investigation.
