A 14 year old girl was taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation following a fire in Cambridge on Friday evening.
Officials said the fire began in the kitchen shortly before 9 p.m. at a home on Jarvis Street.
Police believe someone turned the stove on accidentally instead of the oven, causing the cupboards to catch fire.
Damage is pegged at $20,000.
