A drug bust in Stratford ended with police finding marijuana, crystal meth and painkillers in an apartment in the heart of the city.

Stratford Police say they entered the apartment, in the 100 block of Wellington Street, shortly after 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Inside, they allegedly found $1,000 worth of drugs and a 24-year-old Stratford man, who was placed under arrest.

Also inside the apartment, police say, were approximately 1,000 used syringes – many of which were capped and stored, but some of which were scatted around the apartment.

The 24-year-old is charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substances, three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, four counts of breaching probation and two counts of breaching recognizance.
