Waterloo regional police were on scene at Weber Street and Bridgeport Road in Waterloo for a collision involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian.

In a tweet Wednesday around 8 p.m., police said the pedestrian had been transported to hospital.

Area roads were later reopened.

Thursday at 8 a.m., police tweeted an update stating that the pedestrian who was struck, a 58-year-old, was taken to an out-of-region hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle, a 55-year-old Kitchener female, did not sustain any physical injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have informatioin is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
