The Oktoberfest Thanksgiving Day Parade is an annual tradition for Brad and Valeria Cline.
In fact Brad has attended every parade for the last 47 years.
“Being with friends and family is what it is all about,” he says.
An estimated 150,000 people lined King Street to watch the parade, which included 36 colourful floats and 10 marching bands.
Onkel Hans, Tante Frieda and Miss Oktoberfest were just a few of the fan favourites.
Awards were also handed out for the best floats in this year’s parade. The KW Oktoberfest Mobile Maypole, City of Waterloo, Nelco Mechanical and the K-W Vietnamese Association floats all received top honours.
