Waterloo Regional Police have released a sketch of a suspect in connection with an assault on a woman who was walking through Vanier Park on Sunday evening.

Police say the 30-year-old female was walking on a pathway in the park when two male suspects ran up behind her and sprayed her with what is believed to be bear spray.

The two males reportedly then fled on foot down the pathway at Clark Avenue towards Siebert Avenue.

Nothing was taken and the woman was treated in hospital for minor injuries.

The first suspect is described as male, Asian, 20-25 years of age, 5'6" with a medium build and wearing a black jacket, black toque and dark jeans.

The second suspect is described as a man wearing a black jacket.
