Investigators say a fire that claimed the life of one man in Barrie started near an extension cord.
Barrie fire crews were called to Gowan Street at around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday after receiving reports of a shed fire.
While crews worked to stop the fire, they found a man inside. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Fire officials believe the man was living in the shed.
The Fire Marshal’s office is now investigating.
