New Democrat M.P. Olivia Chow was in Kitchener Sunday to take in some culture at The Museum in downtown Kitchener.
Chow, who was an artist before she became a politician, stopped by to look at “The Treasures of China” exhibit.
It features a collection of contemporary paintings, and ancient Chinese sculptures. After her guided tour, Chow took to the stage where she spoke about the important role of museums in communities.
“Your participation, your presence here is a testament to the knowledge that the museum is the core asset of a region. Something at the heart of civic life.”
The exhibit will be at The Museum until March 17th.
