Brantford Police say their investigation into the death of Jeffrey Roberts has led them to a fourth property – this one just outside the city’s downtown core.
Police, along with the forensic unit, spent most of the day Friday at an address on Bruce Street, where they were executing a search warrant.
Const. Laura Collier with Brantford Police Service says they have reason to believe Roberts may have visited the property before his disappearance.
However details about whom he may have known or what police hoped to find there were not provided.
Previously, the investigation brought police to the area of the Highway 403 underpass at West Street, behind Craig Street – where Roberts’ body was found on Nov. 21 – as well as a home on Darling Street and an apartment on Sherwood Drive.
Roberts, 45, was last seen alive Nov. 5. An autopsy conducted after his death found what police have called “obvious signs of trauma” on his body.
Police say they want anyone with information about Roberts’ death to call 519-756-0113 ext. 2265.
They are specifically looking for anyone who may have come across an abandoned bicycle trailer. Roberts was known to bike around the city.
