An 82-year-old man faces a charge of second-degree murder after allegedly killing his wife.
Wellington County OPP say they were called to a home on Tenth Line in Erin around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, in response to a “family dispute.”
Arriving at the scene, officer found the body 82-year-old Elizabeth Fischer.
Her husband, Frank Fischer, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
Neighbours say the pair had been married for a long time.
“They seemed like a nice, retired old couple,” Ivan Muchalov said.
“I never would’ve expected this.”
The cause of death has not been determined.
Police continue to investigate the death, and want to hear from anyone with relevant information.
