A report says more people in Ontario are buying food produced in the province.
According to government figures, more than 80 per cent of Ontario shoppers identify home-grown fruits and vegetables in grocery stores.
The Local Food Report also says over half of the principal grocery shoppers in Ontario include locally-grown food in at least one meal a day.
The report says the provincial agriculture-food sector has added $1.3 billion in GDP and created more than 34,000 jobs over the past couple of years.
