A Waterloo man has been charged after an assault victim who suffered life threatening injuries over the weekend died on Tuesday.
Mark Steven Reading, 40, has been charged with second degree murder in the death of Slobodan Neskovich, 29, also of Waterloo.
The suspect and the victim are believed to have known each other.
Just before 11:30 p.m. on Sunday police responded to a call about a disturbance at a parking lot near King Street East and Stirling Avenue in Kitchener, behind a Kitchener bar.
Neskovich was found unconscious at the scene and was transported to a Hamilton hospital with life threatening injuries.
He died less than two days later and a post mortem exam is expected to be conducted on Wednesday.
