The Region of Waterloo will pick up Christmas trees from Monday January 5th to Friday January 16th. For your tree to be removed, it has to be on your curb by 7 a.m on your regular garbage collection day. Remove all decorations, and the stand. Do not place the tree in a bag. If your tree is longer than 1.2 metres (four feet) cut it into smaller pieces.
Brantford is also collecting Christmas trees curbside from January 5th to 16th. The trees must be free of ornaments and decorations and the tree should not be in a bag.
In Guelph you can’t leave your Christmas tree on the curb; it must be dropped off at the Waste Resource Innovation Centre on 110 Dunlop Drive. There is no charge for the disposal. All ornaments must be removed, and do not place the tree in a bag.
