Hold and secure ended at Kitchener Collegiate Institute

KITCHENER -

A Kitchener high school was put in a "brief" hold and secure Tuesday.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service said they received a report around 2 p.m. of a male with a firearm in the area of King Street West and Green Street.

Kitchener Collegiate Institute then initiated a hold and secure.

In a release to the media, police said officers located a male on school property but they did not find a gun.

They added that no injuries were reported.
