Waterloo Regional Police are looking for a man who approached two girls playing outside a Kitchener townhouse complex.

The man allegedly began talking to the 11-year-old girls and asked them to go to the park with him.

“They attempted to leave the area (but) he followed them for a short period of time,” said police spokesperson Olaf Heinzel.

While that incident occurred Saturday evening on Holborn Drive in the Stanley Park area, police say the man may also be responsible for a similar incident in May at Sunnydale Place in Waterloo, that one involving one young girl.

“We’ve not made a direct link between the two incidents, although there are some similarities that have investigators concerned,” said Heinzel

Police describe their suspect as being a white man in his 20s, 5’11” with brown hair, possibly in a brush cut and possibly with a goatee, wearing a beige short-sleeve shirt with big checkered squares, beige pants and sunglasses.
