A former Ontario nurse charged in the deaths of eight seniors made a brief video appearance in court Friday.
Elizabeth Wettlaufer is charged with eight counts of first degree murder, four counts of attempted murder, and two counts of aggravated assault.
She is due to make another video appearance in court on April 7 at the end of her judicial pretrial.
The 49-year-old former nurse was arrested in October and charged with murder in connection with the deaths of residents at nursing homes in Woodstock, Ont., and London, Ont.
Police alleged Wettlaufer used drugs to kill the seniors while she worked at the facilities between 2007 and 2014.
Additional charges were laid in January and police exhumed two bodies as part of their ongoing investigation.
