HAMILTON, Ont. - Police say two people are dead in a head-on crash on a Hamilton highway.
Provincial police say a Honda Accord crossed the centre line of Highway 6 (at Upper James Street) around 6:45 p.m. Saturday and slammed into a pickup truck, which was then rear-ended by a Chevy Cruz.
The male driver of the Honda and a female passenger were pronounced dead on the scene.
The male driver of the pickup and a female passenger were rushed to hospital with serious injuries, while the female driver of the Chevy was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The names of the deceased have not been released pending contact of next of kin.
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
