On Thanksgiving Monday thousands will line the streets of Kitchener and Waterloo for a front row seat to the Oktoberfest Thanksgiving day parade.
The route is the same one as 2015.
It will start in Kitchener on King and Cedar Street and make a right on Victoria Street, and then travel north on Weber Street until it comes to an end at Bridgeport road in Waterloo.
The parade starts at 8:30 a.m.
This year’s parade marshals are Steph Leclair and Kristen McKenzie, the winners of the Amazing Race Canada 2016 edition.
The season four winners first met at the Kitchener-Waterloo Skating Club.
Spectators are encouraged to bring change or a non-perishable food item to support The Food Bank of Waterloo Region.
On the food bank's website, the items most needed are beans in sauce, canned meat & fish, canned pasta, canned fruit, stews & chili, tomato sauces, rice, peanut butter, hot cereals.
If you miss the parade, you can catch it again, it's nationally televised on the CTV Network at noon.
