He was two months early, he likely wasn’t all that jolly, and police say he didn’t even use the chimney.

A man named Charles Santa faces a number of charges over an alleged break-in at a home west of Woodstock.

The break-in occurred Monday morning at a home on Beachville Road in South-West Oxford Township – the same township in which Santa makes his home.

Provincial police say the 23-year-old forced his way into the residence through a patio door.

Once inside, Santa allegedly stole jewellery cash, tools, alcohol, electronics, guns and ammunition.

Santa faces charges including breaking and entering, theft of a firearm, possession of a firearm while prohibited to do so, breach of probation and other offences.

He remains in custody, police say.
