A Kitchener woman is dead following a head-on crash in near Port Perry, north of Oshawa.
Whitby O.P.P. were called out Sunday afternoon, shortly after 4:30, to a crash on Highway 7/12 north of Port Perry. When officers arrived they found that two cars had crashed head-on.
A car travelling southbound crossed the centre line into the path of a northbound car. The driver of the southbound car, an 84-year-old woman from Whitby was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second car, a 71-year-old Kitchener woman was transported to hospital where she was pronounced dead as well.
The names of the victims have not been released.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
