A barn fire at the edge of North Dumfries kept the township’s fire crews busy for much of Wednesday morning.
Crews were called to a property on Seaton Road, north of the community of Sheffield, shortly before 6 a.m.
“It was an old barn … that would likely date to the 1800s,” North Dumfries fire chief Robert Shantz told CTV News.
There were no people or animals in the stone barn at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.
A classic car and antique tractor inside the barn were destroyed.
The fire was extinguished before it could spread past the barn.
Waterloo Regional Police say the fire is not considered suspicious.
