Ontario's Special Investigations Unit has concluded its investigation into an incident in which a woman was injured in Brantford.
It happened after police approached a suspect vehicle in a West Street plaza parking lot on Feb. 21.
A passenger in the car, 22-year-old Hillary Robertson, was injured after she got out of the vehicle and the driver reversed, knocking her to the ground with the open door.
The driver, 25-year-old Richard Bomberry, then drove at the officers in an attempt to get away. Officers fired at the vehicle to try to get him to stop, but he fled the scene. No one else was injured.
Because Robertson wasn't seriously hurt, the SIU says there's nothing more for them investigate in this situation.
Both Robertson and Bomberry were arrested following the incident and face a number of charges.
