A second person now faces charges in connection with the hit-and-run crash that killed Jordan Gillis in central Waterloo.

Gillis, a 29-year-old Waterloo man, was killed last month when a car hit him at Austin Drive and Hazel Street, then left the scene.

Tanvir Singh Padda, an 18-year-old from Brampton, was arrested earlier this month and charged with criminal negligence causing death and failure to remain at the scene of a crash.

Wednesday, Waterloo Regional Police announced that a 19-year-old Brampton man has also been charged in relation to the crash.

Tegh Singh is charged with two counts of accessory after the fact and will appear in court in December.

Police say their investigation continues.
