LONDON, Ont. -- A London, Ont., teacher accused of using a camera hidden in a backpack to film inside a school change room has been fired by the Thames Valley District School Board following in an internal investigation.
Police charged Jamie Gardiner, 37, with two counts of voyeurism in March after police alleged images found on devices in his home showed two women changing.
Gardiner was dismissed from his position at Ashley Oaks Public School by the Thames Valley District School Board on Wednesday.
Investigators said they had since found images of 18 more females of varying ages allegedly taken from two change rooms at Ashley Oaks elementary and middle school -- some dating back to January 2011.
They say eight of the victims are school board employees, seven are adult co-op students from other schools, one is a teenage student from another school and four have yet to be identified.
Gardiner now faces 17 additional charges of voyeurism, one of making child pornography, and one of possessing child pornography. He is due in court on May 26.
