An attempt to yank yet another ATM from its base over the weekend was unsuccessful, Waterloo Regional Police say.
According to police, a pickup truck burst into Fairview Park Mall around 5:30 a.m. Sunday, at an entrance near the mall’s food court.
Police say several attempts were made to pull the ATM out of the mall proved fruitless.
The truck allegedly left the mall when police showed up, and was later found elsewhere in Kitchener. It is believed to have been stolen from a property in Guelph.
The mall entrance received significant damage and was partially inaccessible to shoppers as of Monday afternoon.
