Suspects were scared off by an alarm during an attempted robbery at a Kitchener pharmacy over the weekend.

On Sunday, Waterloo Region police responded to a report of a break and enter at the Pioneer Park Pharmacy in Kitchener.

An investigation found that three white males wearing dark clothing and balaclava's first broke into the Lulu's Restaurant next door and then smashed through the wall of the restaurant to get into the pharmacy.

The suspects left after an alarm was activated at the pharmacy. Police are still investigating if anything was taken, but there was extensive property damage done to both businesses.
