Dillon Campbell is returning to the Laurier Golden Hawks football team for his 5th and final season and his head coach couldn’t be happier. Michael Faulds says “we truly feel we have the best player in the country on our team.” Campbell is coming off an MVP season with the Golden Hawks, recording over 1400 yards on the ground. He was named the player of the year in OUA football.
Laurier opens their 2015 training camp on Saturday August 15th at University Stadium. The Hawks first game is Sunday August 30th on the road against the York Lions.
The Waterloo Warriors and Guelph Gryphons also kick off their training camp this weekend. The Warriors have a new head coach this year with Chris Bertoia taking over. The Gryphons are expecting over 100 players to report on Saturday at Alumni Stadium. Guelph will visit Waterloo in week one.
