A suspected impaired driver on the Conestoga Parkway led police on a chase that eventually ended with a collision in the east end of Waterloo.
According to police, an OPP officer attempted to pull over the driver around 3 p.m. Thursday.
When the man allegedly continued driving, the officer followed him off the highway and eastward on University Avenue.
The pursuit came to an end on Auburn Drive, where the cruiser blocked the path of the car, prompting a collision between the two vehicles.
The driver was then placed under arrest. He’s expected to face multiple charges.
