Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital in critical condition after Cambridge crash

A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital after a collision Friday afternoon in Cambridge.
Emergency services were called to King Street East around 2:25 p.m. for a report of a crash involving a motorcycle and SUV.
The 64-year-old Cambridge man on the motorcycle was taken by Ornge air ambulance to a hospital outside the region.
His injuries are described as serious.
The driver of the SUV, a 58-year-old Kitchener man, was not hurt.
King Street East, between Westminster Drive and Waterloo Street, was closed for several hours. The road reopened around 5 p.m.
Waterloo regional police said charges are anticipated in this crash.
They’re asking any other drivers, who were in the area at the time and have dash cam video of the collision, to give them a call.
