Nobody was injured in an incident that brought police, firefighters and paramedics to the Toyota plant in Woodstock around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

According to a spokesperson for Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada, lids popped off of pressurized waste drums in the facility’s paint shop.

As a result, the paint shop was evacuated and some workers were sent home early. Work continued in other parts of the plant.

The plant’s evening shift was expected to go ahead as normal.

Fire officials say that although the waste drums overheated, no actual fire was ever observed.
