WOODSTOCK, Ont. -- A distracted driving charge has been laid after a bus carrying minor hockey players from a Toronto-area team crashed on Highway 401 outside Kitchener, injuring three.
Two Markham Majors players and a parent were taken to hospital with minor injuries after the coach bus they were riding in crashed into a roadside barrier Friday morning near Drumbo.
They've since been released.
Police have now charged the driver of the bus with distracted driving.
The name of the person charged and that of the bus company have not been released.
The team was en route to a tournament in Ohio when the crash occurred.
