As a house fire in Six Nations continues to be investigated, officials say they’re confident it is not connected to a string of suspected arsons in the community.
Last year, there were more than 20 structure fires in Six Nations – many of which occurred in vacant buildings, and many of which are considered suspicious.
Another fire broke out late Sunday night at a home on Tuscarora Road.
Two people inside the home were able to escape the fire under their own power.
Damage from that fire is estimated at $100,000.
